What exactly causes hemorrhoids?

All research indicates that hemorrhoids are formed due to lifestyle. They have no connection to genetics, and a minor connection to actual nutrition. The core cause is excessive pressure on the nerves and veins in and around the anal region which may be caused by a number of factors. Use of the ‘english toilet’, excess weight, sedentary lifestyle, constipation and lack of hydration, along with weaker muscles – these all contribute to hemorrhoids overall.  Sometimes, pregnancy and certain health conditions may also cause hemorrhoids.

Why don’t you recommend using topical creams and ointments?

Ointments and creams numb the area – giving the illusion that the hemorrhoid is gone, when in fact only the pain subsides. This is actually much worse since pain prevents excessive pressure from coming on to the hemorrhoid. With the pain gone, the pressure increases and the hemorrhoid becomes worse over time.

Why are surgeries not a good option?

First of all, surgeries are only a viable solution in cases of severe and large hemorrhoids. For small hemorrhoids, especially if there is more than one, surgeries are not a good option. Secondly, the surgery carries its own risks, and does not treat the core cause – the excessive pressure. It is likely that eventually more hemorrhoids will appear even if the initial one or two are surgically treated.

Aren’t herbal remedies dangerous?

Herbal remedies can indeed be just as dangerous as untested medications. This is, however, only the case with herbal concoctions that are ingested, and only those that are untested and prepared by an amateur. As with medication, you require someone experienced and knowledgeable to recommend, prepare, and administer the herbal remedies.

Hemorrhoid Free for Life does not contain any herbal medications that are ingested. It uses a combination of natural foods, topical preparations, and lifestyle changes to bring about both rapid and long-term relief from hemorrhoids.
